Volunteers are free to coordinate a group activity at any time. However, if the activity will involve use of WHMC property or materials, it is necessary to contact our office for approval prior to the activity.
We are always in need of volunteers to break down large packages of diapers into smaller bags that clients can purchase in the Baby Boutique. All materials are provided by WHMC. Diapers, bags, labels, and instructions are stored in the attic of the Family LIfe Center. Volunteers can use the conference room for a convenient place to work on this project.
Baby Shower/Donation Drive
For churches or other organizations looking to gather material resources for clients, holding a donation or baby shower is a great option. (Please contact WHMC for a current list of needed items for the Baby Boutique. We can take new and gently used baby and maternity items. We also accept gift cards for local restaurants that can be given to new moms as a gift after delivery.)
Groups may desire to participate in landscaping or building maintenance work. Please contact our office for current maintenance needs.
Volunteers can assemble care packages for clients using the material resources in the Family Life Center. This could include putting together new baby gift bags or hospital care packages. Volunteers can use the conference room to work in, and may either contribute their own material resources or use ours if stock permits.
